Private page user management

If a page is specified on the page management script as a private page then user access to it is controlled by a username/password combination. These combinations are created and managed in the provate page user management script.

Site management - Refresh this page

This script is very similar in appearance to the user management script, allowing users to be created, modified and deleted and linked to sites on a TT Web Site Manager installation. As yet these users are not linked to specific pages within a site, once a username is linked to a site it can access all private pages within the site.

To create a new user, simply click on the "Create a new user" button. This creates a new user with the following details and a password of "New user's password". If you create a private user in this way you MUST change these details immediately! Failure to do so could leave a default username and password accessible to anyone, while the user is set up without being linked to a site by default this is not a good situation.

To add or remove a site from the user's permissions, in most browsers you simply hold down your SHIFT key and click on that site's name in the box.

To remove a user from the system, simply click on the "Delete" button by that user's entry. A confirmation message is displayed, as shown below, clicking on "Confirm delete" removes the user.
